KINGSTON – A man with several prior convictions was sentenced in Ulster County Court on Monday to nine months in the Ulster County Jail for his conviction to a February 18, 2014 felony charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and nine months in jail for a March 26, 2015 conviction of aggravated unlicensed operation, when he was driving while impaired after his license had been revoked for DWI.
The Ulster District Attorney’s Office and Ulster County Probation Department recommended that Allen Erhard, 61, be sentenced to state prison based on his extensive criminal history. In addition to the latest two convictions, he has out-of-county convictions including a 2010 felony DWI for which he was sentenced to state prison, two other felony DWIs in 2004 and 1996, for which he received probationary sentences, a misdemeanor DWI conviction for which he was placed on probation, another for which he was given a conditional discharge and three other alcohol-related offenses which were reduced or plea bargained.
