PORT JERVIS – Freshman State Assemblyman Karl Brabenec made it official on Sunday; he is running for a second two-year term in Albany this year.
A member of the Republican minority caucus, Brabenec told a room full of well-wishers that he will continue to fight for his constituents if reelected.
“We need to get rid of unfunded mandates, property tax reform, common core reform,” Brabenec said. “We need more money for infrastructure. A lot of these things aren’t on the radar yet as far as the governor’s proposals. Our minority conference is very vocal about changing the way things happen in Albany.”
No Democrat has announced yet for the 98th Assembly District seat.
