Police charge driver in car-pedestrian fatal with DWI

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A New Windsor woman was arrested on manslaughter and drunk driving charges after the vehicle she was driving struck a man as he crossed Route 17K in the Town of Newburgh on Wednesday evening.
Donna Harrison, 77, was charged after she allegedly struck the pedestrian at around 8 p.m. in the area of the bus terminal.
The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh where he later died, authorities said.
The victim’s name was not immediately released.
