Bomb scare at Wallkill elementary school

TOWN OF WALLKILL – William A. Carter Elementary School on East Main Street in the Town of Wallkill was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning following a male phoned in bomb threat at about 9:25 a.m.
Police converged on the building to search the interior and exterior of the facility. No weapons or anything suspicious was located. There were no injuries and the all-clear was given one hour later.   
Agencies at the scene included Wallkill, Middletown and State Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Wallkill Town Police detectives and the FBI are investigating and as of last night, had not determined who placed the call.

School was on lockdown for an hour while police investigated
