CARMEL – Carmel Town Councilwoman Suzi McDonough announced her candidacy for state Assembly in the 94th Putnam-Westchester district. Incumbent Steven Katz, a fellow Republican, may not seek reelection this fall.
“Whether the incumbent is in or out, I am in this race to win it,” McDonough said.
She said she is “excited to roll up my sleeves and dig into the details” of each town’s issues and concerns.
“Putnam and Westchester families deserve a respected conservative voice in Albany to watch out for our families, our communities and our state. And if elected, I will be honored to be that voice,” McDonough said.
She said she is pro-life, pro Second Amendment and “a solid fiscal conservative.”
