Two incidents of shots fired in separate areas

MID-HUDSON – Two vehicles
and a house were shot counties apart in the Hudson Valley over the weekend.

On Sunday night at 8:50 p.m., a bullet was fired through a window of a
home on Hempstead Road in the Town of Ramapo and several bullets had been
fired into a car that had been parked and was unoccupied on the property
of the residence.

There were no reports of injuries.

The Ramapo Police Detective Bureau is investigating and anyone with information
is asked to call them at 845-357-2400.

One day before, on January 2 at 3:30 a.m. police learned that someone
fired a shot that damaged an unoccupied parked vehicle in the Plattekill
Avenue municipal parking lot in New Paltz. A bullet fragment was recovered.

The incident occurred some time between 11:30 p.m. on January 1 and 3:30
a.m. on January 2.

Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information about it
is asked to call New Paltz Police Detective Division at 845-255-1357.
