NEW PALTZ – Police have arrested a 37-year-old New Paltz man on
a felony charge of criminal sexual act for allegedly sexually assaulting
a 15-year-old girl.
The incident is said to have occurred during the evening hours of December
23, 2015.
Justin Pastor was an acquaintance of the victim, and the crime occurred
in his residence, New Paltz Police said.
Pastor was located at his home, interviewed and arrested. He was arraigned
and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending, police
said.
New Paltz Police were assisted by the Ulster County Child Advocacy Center
and the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.
