GOSHEN – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received its second reaccreditation from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
The sheriff’s office received its first DCJS accreditation in 2005 under Sheriff Carl DuBois, Chief Deputy Dennis Barry, and Investigator Bernadette Wilson.
“Accreditation guides our agency with current, clear, and articulate policies and procedures toward a smooth and seamless operation,” said DuBois. “Accreditation also saves Orange County significant dollars in insurance and litigation costs.”
The sheriff’s Office also holds three other national accreditations and one from the New York State Sheriff’s Association.
