Two arrested in connection with Hyde Park robbery

HYDE PARK – Two people are under arrest in connection with a bank robbery at the Rondout Savings Bank branch at 4269 Albany Post Road in the Town of Hyde Park.
A man walked in on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., pulled a knife and took money from an open teller’s drawer. The man then fled on foot on Albany Post Road.  Approximately $1,000 was stolen.
There were no injuries to any bank employees.
State Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office with a K-9 unit developed information that led officers to the Inn at Hyde Park where Eric Rafael Rios Navarro, also known as Eric Rios, 37, with no permanent address, was taken into custody. He was charged with armed robbery.
Police arrested an accomplice, Desirae Williams, 31, of Poughkeepsie. She was charged with possession of stolen property and an outstanding bench warrant for prostitution out of the Town of Ulster.
Police Chief Eric Paolilli said the investigation is continuing and police said other charges are pending.
