Lee: Background in public policy

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Local Development Corporation
Board has appointed Sarah Lee as its new executive director. She had been
serving as interim executive director since April and will also take over
the role of CEO of the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency.

“Her background in public policy as well as her years of experience
with business retention and expansion makes her a very valuable member
of the county’s economic development team,” said Local Development
Corporation Board Chairman Charles Daniels.

Lee will be responsible for overall strategic planning, program development
and delivery and budget preparation for the agencies as well as networking
with other organizations to promote external marketing, business retention
and expansion.

Lee joined the county Economic Development Corporation in mid-2013 as
a business development specialist and less than a year later became director
of business development last spring.

Prior to joining the county’s economic development team, she was
director of business development and strategic planning for HealthQuest.
