NEW WINDSOR – The next New York Air Show, to be held on September 3 and 4, 2016 at Stewart Airport, will showcase the US Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team.

The show was originally scheduled for the third weekend in August, but
moved to September 3 and 4 to accommodate the Thunderbirds’ schedule.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus said the attraction of the Thunderbirds will draw other aerial acts and static displays.
“For the next few months we are going to be putting together the entire show and I will tell you we are having some great conversations with both military and civilian performers,” he said.  These are people who came last year, performers on both sides of isle – military and civilian – want to come back because they had such a great time.”
Neuhaus also expects new participants to sign up.
The airport, meanwhile, is also talking with aviation-related businesses to include an aviation industry trade show in the weekend’s events.
