NEW ROCHELLE – The 2016 proposed New Rochelle City budget comes
in at $120 million. The city council continues to mull it over line by
line.
Having said that, Mayor Noam Bramson said the spending plan is a hold-line-budget.
“The proposal that we received from the city manager is essentially
a status quo budget. It maintains existing service and staff levels. It
is still possible that the council will make changes, but at least as
of now, the budget is a status quo document,” Bramson said.
The council is expected to vote on it tomorrow (Tuesday).
As proposed, it comes under the state tax cap.
