Arrest made in Beacon gas station robbery

BEACON – City Police in Beacon arrested a local man in connection with the armed robbery of a city gas station late Tuesday night.
Just before 10:30 p.m., a man wearing a black ski mask entered the CITGO gas station at 425 Fishkill Avenue, pulled a small caliber gun and demanded of the clerk the proceeds of the cash register.  The bandit made off with an undetermined amount of cash.  The victim was not injured
Beacon detectives and patrol officers investigated and using video surveillance and with the assistance of the clerk, were able to identify the suspect as James Good, 25, of Beacon. He was taken into custody at his residence several hours later.
Good was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a firearm, both as felonies, and misdemeanor menacing.
Police said additional charges may be pending.
