WASHINGTON – The Military
Construction appropriations bill that has passed in the Congress is headed
to the President’s desk for action. The measure includes $4.2 million
to build a new Organizational Maintenance Shop at the Army Reserve Center
in Orangeburg and two projects at West Point — $70 million to replace
the wastewater treatment plant and $55 million for a new elementary school.
All three projects are being pushed by New York’s two senators – Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
All of those facilities are funded by the military construction and veterans administration’s appropriations bill.
