Victim of Broadway car crash was Newburgh resident

NEWBURGH – Police have identified the man killed in a two car crash on Broadway in Newburgh on Wednesday as a local man. Luis Tobon, 48, of the City of Newburgh was a passenger in a car that was struck when the driver of his car made a U-turn across Broadway before 2 p.m. and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Tobon was taken to St. Luke’s Cornwall hospital in Newburgh where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The incident remains under investigation.
