NEWBURGH – Four men were arrested by Newburgh Police early Wednesday morning after the car in which they were riding was caught on radar speeding on Broadway around 1 a.m.

The four occupants were all arrested on the weapons charges when police recovered two handguns – a .38 caliber revolver and a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic that had been tossed from the car during the pursuit. Additional .22 caliber ammunition was recovered from one of the men.
Charged were Timaya Hayes, 18, and Taquan Jacobs, 19, both of Newburgh, and Jamell Jennings, 19, and Messiah Faircloth, 17, both of Poughkeepsie.
Jennings was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.  Hayes, the driver of the car, was issued several traffic tickets.
