KINGSTON – An Ulster County Court jury has found two people guilty of obstructing governmental administration in connection with a domestic violence incident.
Joseph Lalima, 43, and Essie Baker, 45, both of Kingston, were convicted on Monday. Lalima was also found guilty of resisting arrest.  Sentencing is set for December.
The case stemmed from an incident on February 14 when Kingston Police were dispatched to 62 Linderman Avenue to handle a domestic violence case.
When the first officer arrived he confirmed the ongoing dispute and when he tried to investigate, Lalima and Baker interfered with officers. Lalima was placed under arrest at which time Baker assaulted the officers.
