Saugerties man arrested for forgery, endangering welfare of incompetent person

SAUGERTIES – An employee of Ulster/Greene ARC was arrested by State Police on charges of endangering an incompetent person and criminal possession of stolen property.
Troopers at the Kingston barracks received a complaint from the ARC of Ulster/Greene Counties regarding an employee misusing resident PEX credit cards for personal use dating from August 27 through September 29.
Brandon Schoonmaker, 33, was charged with two counts of endangering an incompetent person, three counts of criminal possession of stolen property and three counts of forgery, all as felonies, and one count of misdemeanor petit larceny.  Schoonmaker, who was arrested on Friday, October 9, was released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
