Kaun celebrates his $1 million win with the Lottery’s Amanda Serrano
FISHKILL – A retired banker and a West Point staff officer each
won $1 million playing New York State Lottery games.
Gloria White, 74, of Goshen, won $1 million in the August 17 Cash4Life
game. Her winnings didn’t end there. She won another $2 matching
one number plus the Cash Ball on a separate ticket.
The second-prize win for the mother of one and grandmother of three will
translate into a one-time payment of $661,801 after taxes.
She plans to use some of the money to remodel her 40-year-old kitchen.
Charles Kaune, 61, a staff officer at West Point won his $1 million in
a second prize in the Powerball game.
He will receive a single lump sum payment of $661,800, which he plans
to use to play bills and share with family.
