MID-HUDSON – Republican Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro and Democratic Ulster County Executive Michael Hein have both picked up endorsements in their reelection bids.
The New York State Reform Party announced its backing of Molinaro because
he has “proven to be a true ‘Reformer’ when it comes
to governing,” said Marie Smith, chairwoman of the New York State
Reform Party. “His long record of tackling real problems with bold
bipartisan solutions is the kind of leadership that exemplifies the Reform
Party agenda.”
Molinaro is facing Democrat former County Comptroller Diane Jablonski.
Hein won the backing of the Upper-Hudson Central Labor Council.
“When it comes to serving the people of Ulster County, Mike Hein has been on the right side of every major issue facing us,” said Timothy Rodgers, council vice president. “In his tenure in office had has held the line on taxes, stood up for our seniors, and has been an advocate for open and honest government.”
Hein is being challenged by Republican former County Legislator Terry Bernardo.
