HUDSON – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims
Unit has arrested an East Chatham man on a charge of sexual abuse as a
felony.
Authorities said Donald Heald, 33, is accused of having sexual contact
with a person under the age of 13.
He was taken into custody at his home without incident on Friday, September
25.
Heald was committed to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash
bail or $25,0p00 bond.
The investigation is continuing and police believe there are other potential
victims of Heald. Anyone with information is asked to call Senior Investigator
