COXSACKIE – A Newburgh woman has been arrested for promoting prison
contraband for allegedly smuggling drugs into the Greene Correctional
Facility in Coxsackie.

Shantanice Tallie, 20, was arrested and also charged with endangering
the welfare of a child and possessing synthetic marijuana, also known
as K-2.

Tallie had gone to the prison to visit an inmate, police said, and during
the visit she delivered the K-2 to the inmate. She had a two-year-old
child with her for the visit.

She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance to return to Coxsackie
Town Court at a later date.
