KIAMESHA LAKE – The Sullivan County Industrial Development Agency is considering enhancements to the Montreign casino project.
The agency will meet on Friday to review the amendments before possibly approving them, said Jennifer Brylinski, the IDA executive director.
“Montreign is expanding the project that they originally proposed.” Brylinski said.  “They were going to do more high-end rooms and reconfigure the interior of the complex a little different. This is something that has gone through the Town of Thompson, was approved, but we had to do the same thing because we were an involved agency with all of the environmental reviews.”
Brylinski said the expansion plans make the project even that much more exciting.
Once the state gaming commission gives the go-ahead, expected by the end of this month, the casino project will have two years to be up and running.
