SPRING VALLEY – Police in Spring Valley arrested one man on a murder charge and three others in connection with the assault on the victim.
Segundo Guallpa of Spring Valley was attacked and beaten early in the morning of August 17. He died at Nyack Hospital on August 24.
On August 19, police arrested Alfred Degraw III, 19, of Spring Valley on charges of assault, gang assault and robbery, all as felonies. He was sent to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
On September 1, police arrested Manuell Brown, 21, and Jamarr Wilson, 20, both of Spring Valley. They were each charged with criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft and grand larceny. Wilson was also charged with tampering with evidence. Both men were arraigned and sent to the Rockland County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.
On September 2, police arrested Malik Baptist, 20, who was charged with murder and is in the Rockland County Jail without bail.
