STEWART AIRPORT – The New
York Air Show is going to return to Stewart Airport next summer after
its first successful run last weekend.

Spokeswoman Cathy Bassett said tens of thousands of people toured the
static displays and watched the aerial show from the airport while hundreds
of thousands watched from several locations off-airport.

The 2016 air show should be bigger and better, she said.

“As far as next year, I would expect quality performances from some
of our nation’s top military again. We are not at any point to announce
who will be in our lineup next year, but we are working very hard to bring
an even better line up, which was a pretty stellar lineup for our first
year show,” she said.
The privately-operated air show paid the Port Authority of New York
and New Jersey some $25,000 to cover the airport’s operational and
service costs.
The 2016 air show will be held on August 20 and 21.
