KINGSTON – The reconstruction of the Mount Marion Bridge, also known as the “3 RRR’s Bridge” on Leggs Mill Road over the Plattekill Creek at the Saugerties/Ulster border, has been completed.
Ulster County Executive Michael Hein said the project, part of the Building
a Better Ulster County initiative, was redesigned “to better handle
the additional demands of increased traffic loads.” He said DPW
workers completed the job on time and under budget.
As part of Hein’s $15 million plan, seven bridges and more than 83 miles of county roads will be upgraded and resurfaced this year – almost 20 percent of all county roads.
