COXSACKIE – An Albertson woman is charged with promoting prison contraband and unlawful possession of marijuana after she passed the drug to an inmate she was visiting at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility, State Police allege.
Karen Diaz, 25, was arrested on August 24 following an investigation into the incident conducted by troopers and the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision’s Office of Special Investigations.
Dias was sent to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond and must appear in Town of Coxsackie Court in October.
