TOWN OF WALLKILL – Flames lit up the early morning skies Sunday over Route 211 in the Silver Lake area as fire shot through the roof of the Huffman Koos furniture store.
The two-alarm blaze, which was reported shortly after 1 a.m., brought out the Silver Lake and Middletown fire departments to quell the flames.
The store is located in the old ShopRite building. An Aldi’s grocery store and several smaller shops are also in the strip mall.
