LIBERTY – A Damascus, Pennsylvania woman has been arrested and charged with making a false to report to State Police.
Police in the Liberty barracks said Colleen Kenyon, 45, contacted them to report she had been stopped in her vehicle by a New York State trooper and sexually abused by the officer during a traffic stop.
An investigation determined Kenyon was not stopped as she reported, and had no interaction with State Police or any other police agency.  The investigation involved witness interviews, the examination of video evidence and review of GPS data from police vehicles.
Kenyon was charged with falsely reporting an incident and offering a false instrument for filing, both misdemeanors. She was released on an appearance ticket pending a future court appearance.
