CRONOMER VALLEY – A 24-year-old woman
was revived Saturday afternoon after she was given two doses of Narcan,
the opioid reversal drug.

Newburgh Town Police were called to a residence on Becks Lane around 2:30
p.m. where they found the woman on the bathroom floor, unconscious and
with shallow breathing. Another resident had attempted to administer Narcan
unsuccessfully before officers arrived.

A town police officer administered a second dose from the police kit and
within one minute, the woman regained consciousness and her breathing
returned to normal.

She was transported to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh
by Mobile Services Life Support Services ambulance.
