YONKERS – The executive board of the Hispanic Democrats of Westchester has endorsed Piedad Abreu, a local business owner and community leader, who is running for a county legislator slot on the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
Abreu “has the right sense of priorities and the energy and ability to have a positive impact for change in the community,” said Robin Bikkel, found and co-chair of the Hispanic Democrats of Westchester. “She has vowed to work to restore damaging social services and daycare cuts while also working to create jobs and restore damaging social services and daycare cuts while also working to create jobs and bring public improvements to the community.”
Abreu is running in a Democratic primary against incumbent Legislator Virginia Perez.
