Safe Homes wins state grant

ALBANY – Safe Homes of Orange County
will receive a $50,000 grant for use with programs that prevent domestic
violence and aid victims of domestic violence in the county.

“Safe Homes of Orange County provides essential services and educational
programs to those who have been victims of domestic violence,” said
Senator John Bonacic (R, Mt. Hope), who secured the grant. “By providing
these resources we can take a big step towards one day ending the scourge
of domestic violence, and at the same time empower victims to seek help
when they are attacked.”

Safe Homes’ Executive Director Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier said the
funding “has allowed for the continuation of vital programs that
provides healing and support to those accessing services.”
