POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Employees Association endorsed the reelection bid of County Executive Marcus Molinaro. The Republican faces a challenge in the November election from Democrat Diane Jablonski, a former county comptroller.
“Marc has shown a great amount of dedication to public service as well as an unwavering support of law enforcement,” said union President Timothy DeGelormo. “From the beginning of his time in office, he has opening expressed his concern for the men and women that work at the Dutchess County Jail and has made building a new modern and safe facility one of his top priorities.”
The union represents some 300 county employees comprised of correctional and civilian staff at the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
