Homicide under investigation in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE – Police are investigating a murder, the latest act of violence in Poughkeepsie that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting victim, a 37-year-old man, was found inside a vehicle on State Street around 3 p.m.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was declared dead a short time later.
The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating with no arrests made.  Anyone with information is asked to contact city police at 845-451-4000 or the tip line at 845-451-7577.
