TOWN OF WARWICK – Two Goshen High
School boys were killed shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday when the driving
school car they were in collided with a tractor-trailer truck on County
Route 1 in the Town of Warwick.

Both of the deceased were sitting in the back seat of the Decat Driving
School of Middletown car along with a third boy. All three were 16-years-old.

Goshen Superintendent of Schools Daniel Connor identified the boys who
died as Antonio Baglivo and Paul VanDoran. Lucas O’Connor, who was
also in the back seat, was listed in critical condition at Westchester
Medical Center, said Warwick Police Lt. Thomas Maslanka.

The driver, Claudia Krebs, 16, was listed in stable condition at Westchester
Medical Center, he said.

The instructor of the Decat vehicle, a 60-year-old Middletown man, and
the truck driver, a 61-year-old Pennsylvania Jervis man, were both admitted
to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill with non-life
threatening injuries.

The accident occurred on County Route 1 and Bloom Corners Road in the
Town of Warwick.

Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton called the incident “a terrible
accident.”

Connor said grief counselors will be available for students and staff
members beginning at noon on Wednesday at the Goshen High School new gym.

The county-wide BOCES crisis team is available for additional support.
The services will be available for students and staff as long as necessary,
Connor said.

“I encourage families to communicate with their children as much
as possible,” he said. “If parents/guardians feel that they
need advice about how to speak with their children or what do share, they
should feel free to reach out to the guidance department and speak to
a counselor who can offer support.”

Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus said if anyone finds themselves
in need, the county Mental Health Association HELPLINE, at 1-800-832-1200/845-346-HELP)
is toll-free and available 24 hours a day. The mobile mental health team
is also accessible 24 hours a day at 888-750-2266.
