BEACON – The City of Beacon now has a sustainable energy loan program.
Mayor Randy Casale said it will be beneficial for a number of reasons.
“It gives commercial property owners a chance to upgrade their energy equipment, heating and cooling, and be able to finance it through our tax vehicle so they don’t have to put the money upfront, which will reduce the cost of electric and will also reduce our carbon footprint in our community,” he said.
Casale called the new program a win-win for all participants and the community as a whole.
