STONY POINT – A two-time prior felon has been arrested by Stony
Point Police and charged with felonies of grand larceny and criminal possession
of stolen property.

Police said Michael Monroe, 38, of 39 High Street in Garnerville was arrested
on Friday, June 26 after detectives investigated an April 29 complaint
of someone using a stolen debit at several locations within Rockland County.

Because Monroe has two prior felony convictions, he was remanded to the
Rockland County Jail.

The investigation is continuing and police said additional charges are
expected.
