Firefighters extinguish interior fire
TOWN OF WALLKILL – Fire in a townhouse at 80 Greenway Terrace in
the Town of Wallkill Saturday night damaged the home.
Firefighters from the Silver Lake and other departments responded to the
8 p.m. two-alarm fire.
A rear bedroom burned, with heavy smoke pouring from the structure.
Wallkill Police said they evacuated neighbors as a precaution.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
