NEW ROCHELLE – A New Rochelle city
employee has been fired following an investigation into a reported amount
of money missing from the tax office.

City Manager Charles Strome, III said earlier this month the finance department
reported $9,500 missing from the tax office and turned the matter over
to the city police.

After an investigation, an arrest was made. The employee, Donna Lee, was
terminated and the matter was turned over to the Westchester County District
Attorney’s Office for criminal prosecution, Strome said.
