Woman charged with stealing $28,000 worth of jewelry

STANFORD – A Pleasant Valley woman was arrested and accused of stealing approximately $28,000 worth of jewelry from a Town of Sanford woman’s home.  The victim alerted police that several pieces of jewelry were missing from her home and the investigation led to a suspect.
State Police charged Courtney Brandl, 36, with felony grand larceny following an investigation.  She was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Police did not reveal the connection, in any, between the two women.
