PEEKSKILL – The Working Families Party
of New York has endorsed Kenneth Martin for mayor of the City of Peekskill
and Kathleen Talbot, Vivian McKenzie and Andrew Rainey for common council.

The party cited their “strong commitment to Peekskill’s working
and middle class.”

In their endorsement of the Democratic team, the Working Families Party
commended Councilwomen Talbot’s and McKenzie’s “efforts
to keep Peekskill affordable for middle class families by fighting a massive
tax increase championed by Republican Mayor Frank Catalina, and to provide
Peekskill families with more affordable access to green energy.”

Westchester Working Families Pat Chairman Pat Welsh said the endorsed
candidates comprise “a team of leaders who not only look like Peekskill’s
working and middle class, but also have a proven record of fighting on
behalf of Peekskill’s working and middle class.”
