VILLAGE OF LIBERTY – Three people were arrested on Sunday following an investigation into heroin sales in the Village of Liberty.
Village Police began investigating after a series of non-fatal heroin overdose incidents and one fatal suspected heroin overdose on June 2.
The investigation into the source of the drug resulted in the execution of a no-knock search warrant shortly after midnight on June 7 at a residence on Lincoln Place in the Village of Liberty.  Police seized 50 bags of heroin, a quantity of cocaine, scales, packaging material, metal knuckles and an unlawfully possessed handgun.
Terrance Johnson, 22, of Liberty was charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession as well as using drug paraphernalia. He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
Willis Gamble, 30, of Liberty was charged with drug possession, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon, all as misdemeanors. He is held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Isiah Gamble, 22, of Liberty was charged with criminal possession of a weapon as a misdemeanor and released on an appearance ticket.
Village Police were assisted in the investigation by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, State Police, sheriff’s office, and Village of Monticello Police. The investigation is continuing.
