DOVER PLAINS – A New York City man was arrested by State Police and charged with felony burglary in connection with a residential break-in on September 3, 2010.
The crime occurred in a private home on Dog Tail Corners Road in the Town of Dover. The resident came home to find that someone had forcibly entered her home and stole several pieces of jewelry.
Troopers obtained latent fingerprints from the scene, which were entered into the statewide fingerprint identification system with no positive identification at that time.
On March 11 of this year, a positive match was made to Brian MacDonald, 25, formerly of Dover and an arrest warrant was issued.  He was located in New York City, taken into custody without incident and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
