NEW WINDSOR – Middletown seems to be bursting with economic development and as a result, the Orange County Partnership Thursday named the city it’s Most Valuable Partner of the year.
The city has landed everything from a medical college to breweries in the last couple of years and Mayor Joseph DeStefano said his administration has been developing leads over the past five years.
“Projects take time to develop and that’s what’s happening,” DeStefano said.  “We came back in office in 2010 and we started working on some big projects and they are just starting to blossom now; the breweries, the skate park, the additional parking, the community health center, Touro College being the most important. It’s like one after the other. It’s all good news for the city.”
“Just think of where the City of Middletown was 10 years ago and where it is today,” said Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus.
