MAYBROOK – Maybrook Mayor Dennis Leahy announced on Monday that he would run for Montgomery town supervisor in November.
Leahy, a Democrat, said the town “needs a unified force,” saying it has been “divided over important issues for far too long.”
Leahy, who has been Maybrook Village mayor for the last eight years, said that “Rather than waving from the sidelines, I have taken an active role in drafting and implementing the village budget, and I have rebuilt the village’s infrastructure from the ground up.”
Walden’s former mayor Brian Maher earlier announced he will run
for supervisor as a Republican. Current Town Supervisor Michael Hayes
is also a Republican, who is seeking reelection.
