NEWBURGH – A second person has died
after being shot in Newburgh last weekend.
Acting Police Chief Daniel Cameron said that Christian Vaquero, 20, of
the City of Newburgh, who was shot while sitting in a parked vehicle on
Hasbrouck Street at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, died Wednesday evening.
Newburgh City Police, State Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s
Office are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information

Early Saturday morning, Terence West, 16, of Newburgh, was standing outside
the Lake Street Apartments on Lake Drive when he was shot and killed.
That incident remains under investigation as well.
