GERMANTOWN – A four-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Route 9G in the Town of Germantown claimed the life of a woman who was on a scooter.
Caitlin Briggs, 24, of Livingston, was dead at the scene.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. when Briggs was southbound on Route 9G and for unknown reasons, crossed into the northbound lane striking an SUV. The two people in that vehicle were evaluated at the scene and released.
Two other vehicles, behind the scooter, were involved in the accident when they were struck by debris. Neither driver was injured.
The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
