YORKTOWN – A 19-year-old Ossining
woman was killed Monday morning when her car ran off the northbound Taconic
State Parkway in the area of the Croton Reservoir in Yorktown and struck
a tree.
State Police identified the victim as Veronica Fernanda Cacho-Morocho,
who was pronounced dead at the scene of the 5:39 a.m. crash by the Westchester
County Medical Examiner’s Officer.
Police said she was driving a 2004 Nissan Maxima when she ran off the
left shoulder of the road and struck a tree.
