POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force arrested a 47-year-old Poughkeepsie man on Wednesday following an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine and other narcotics on Main Street between Hamilton and Clinton Streets in Poughkeepsie.

Ronald Davis allegedly sold cocaine to undercover task force agents on several occasions.

The task force investigation was the result of several complaints from area residents and a city official regarding drug sales in the area throughout the day and night.

Task force agents took Davis into custody on Main Street on May 22 and executed a search warrant at his residence that resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of crack cocaine that was packaged for sale.

Davis has multiple charges pending related to this investigation including felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Davis was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Justice and Transition Center with no bail.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Violent Crime and Dangerous Drug Bureau during this investigation, according to the task force coordinator, Detective Sergeant Adam Harris.
