MOUNT VERNON – Mayor Ernest Davis appointed a new corporation counsel to head the City of Mount Vernon’s Law Department.
Lauren Raysor is a former deputy chief and senior trial counsel for the New York City Law Department where she handled negligence cases filed against the city.
From 1999 through 2001, she was New York State assistant attorney general in charge of the Bronx and Upper Manhattan, investigating and litigating consumer fraud cases.
Raysor lives in Mount Vernon and has an office in the city.
“I have a deep-rooted spiritual love for my community and the people that surround me in my daily life,” she said. “I’m passionate about my craft and I intend to work hard on behalf of the people of Mount Vernon.”
